Alright, I'm going to lay down this suggestion to the officers of TFR but it also extends to every member to have their say.

Personally, I feel that forums are a rather out-dated source in a non-hardcore guild. They don't see THAT much action other than recruitment and boss tactic posts. People go inactive, can't make a raid, they then need to go through to the forums, which they likely don't use that often, or the sign up tool which is probably used once a week to let us know.

It would be a lot easier, and more beneficial for communication if The flaming ruby had a facebook group where all members were able to join, share information, be social with each other, have fun, let people know if they can't make raids, share tactics and important changes.. etc.
this does not mean get rid of the sign up tool, that would be down to officers if they wish to use IG invites + Facebook if you can't make it or signup tool, though facebook can compliment the tool by those who have something come up last minute making a quick post, so we're not stuck waiting for them.

Basically similar to what you can do on the forums only simpler and easier through social media that they're likely already using anyway, and while they're using it, they will see what other TFR members are posting on the group.

The extra social advantages of social media would give TFR a more communitive feeling.
